Meet the Artist

Kerri (Mulcare) Sandve is an interdisciplinary artist and writer from St. Paul, MN working under the imprint Carbon Copy Co. Press. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Print, Paper, Book Arts from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her primary methods of making revolve around printmaking, collage, and artist books. Her work centers on memory, personal archive, and human-landscape relationships. These often highlight aspects of connection to the land and to each other, loss, and the non-linearity of time. Largely influenced by the topography and history of the Mississippi River Valley, she translates text, drawing, and found/archival images through the highly tactile medium of printmaking to reflect on the complexities of inheritance, the experience of the every day, and the intimate relationships humans have with their environment.
