Different Colors of Flowers is an edition of 100 archival prints by Sydney Sousa. The artwork is 5” x 5”. The print is sized with a border to fit a standard 8” x 8” frame. The archival prints were created by Tiny Showcase and ship with a certificate of authenticity. The artwork has been printed on a heavy 290gsm natural white paper.
The original piece is oil and chalk pastel on wooden panel.

Available hand-framed in maple with archival mat and glass by Vermont's Joel Taplin of Taplin MFG. Framed artwork is archivally matted and hung with UV-protective glass. The hand-made frames are made from locally-milled wood with inlaid splines in each corner for added strength. Please allow three weeks for the completion of your custom, hand-made frame.
Sydney has chosen Planned Parenthood at this week’s charity. $200 from the sale of Sydney’s art will be donated to help provide reproductive healthcare to women and families.

Meet Sydney Sousa
Rhode Island-based artist Sydney Sousa creates abstract paintings that represent the intangible, a feeling or a mood. Her paintings interpret emotions and memories from life. Color choice and mark making is often inspired by nature. Organic marks and strokes move across the surface in various directions playing off the edge of the canvas. Sousa’s influences stem from the generation of abstract expressionists such as John Mitchell, Mark Rothko, Cy Twombly, and Helen Frankenthaler. The process of painting for Sousa is shaped by her intuition. The artist uses oil paints and often mixes in marks made with chalk pastels, graphite, and other mediums. She strives to take something intangible and make it tangible in the form of a painting. Sousa received her bachelor’s in studio art with concentration in painting as well as her bachelor's in psychology from Rhode Island College. The artist’s work has been displayed at Oneway gallery, pop up galleries, as well as art markets such as Field of Artisans.
