LUMUKU PLAYING CARDS & GO PEZ are a set of two dual-language card games by Ryan Dean. The cards were digitally printed and die-cut; the boxes were hand assembled. An edition of 250 is available.
LUMUKU Playing Cards offer a fresh look on playing cards by featuring the numbers written out in Spanish and English on either end of the cards. The kings, queens, and jacks are fun animals, each belonging to a different family: musically inclined farm animals, nature-enthusiast birds, fierce cats, and woodland creatures with quite refined taste... Who do you most connect with? Find out while also practicing numbers in Spanish and English!
GO PEZ! is a twist on the classic, Go Fish, but with funny sea creatures on the move. You'll ask questions aloud and answer while using direct objects in Spanish and English. Most importantly, you'll have fun while doing it... because who can't appreciate a sea turtle wearing a helmet while rollerblading? And who hasn't felt like a hungry shark going grocery shopping?
Ryan has chosen to support Dorcas International. $200 from the sale of the dual-language card sets will be donated.
βAt Dorcas International we strive to embrace diversity and to foster collaboration in a non-profit setting, and we aim to be advocates for people working to overcome cultural, educational, economic, and language barriers.β
