"Distant Strains" is an edition of 100 prints by Mike Taylor. With a small border for framing, the artwork is sized to fit into a standard 8" by 10" frame. The archival print was created by Tiny Showcase and ships with a corresponding certificate of authenticity. The archival artwork has been printed on a heavy 290gsm natural white print making paper made from 90% bamboo fibres and 10% cotton.
Pictured hand-framed in maple with archival mat and glass by Providence's Joel Taplin of Taplin MFG. Framed artwork is archivally matted and hung with UV-protective glass. The hand-made frames are made from locally-milled maple with inlaid maple splines in each corner for added strength.
Mike Taylor has chosen the Edwin Gould Services for Children and Families as his artwork's charity. EGSCF works to reach needy children and contribute to their health, physical and educational development until they can be returned to a proper home environment or can be self-supporting. EGSCF works to address the complex and multiple problems that often lead to family disintegration. This includes permanency and adoption services for at-risk families, preventive services designed to intervene with troubled families; services to reduce or eliminate domestic violence; health and mental health services to ensure that every child or adolescent achieves maximum health potential and is emotionally prepared to meet life's challenges; as well as vocational and employment programs to empower families economically. EGSCF also offers group living environments for developmentally disabled adults whose families are unable to care for them. $250 dollars from the sale of Mike Taylor's artwork will be donated to the organization.
